The map of Prague center

Please find the map of Prague's city center below. The very historical center, Old Town, is defined between the Stefanikuv bridge, Revolucni st, Na prikope st, Narodni st. and Legii bridge. The Old Town has been build over 900 years ago. The part of town accross the river from Old Town is called the Lesser Quarter, which along with the Old Town makes the oldest part of Prague. All the mentioned areas are walkable and make the areas covered by Prague Cental Hostels

Public transportation

Stay in one of the PragueCentralHostels member hostel and you won't need any extra money for public transportation. We are located directly in historical center.

In Prague you can find buses, trams and metro (clean and safe!).

The metro system has 3 lines...A (Green), B (Yellow), C (Red).

You can get 1-day, 3-day, weekly or monthly passes. But the best thing to do is to buy single time-based tickets:

30 minute ticket = 24CZK
90 minute ticket = 32CZK

With these tickets you can travel anywhere in Prague within the time specified. These tickets are valid for all types of public transportation - buses, trams and metro.

Remember: you need ticket for your backpack/suitcase too. AND MAKE SURE you get the ticket validated by putting one end into the yellow box. The ticket only becomes valid with the time printed on it! If you don't do this, they could catch you and give you a fine!
